I also incorporate Narrative Therapy, which focuses on the stories we tell about our lives. This approach can be especially helpful for processing trauma, allowing you to make sense of your experiences and regain a sense of control and personal agency.
Mindfulness-based therapies are an important part of my approach. These techniques encourage present-moment awareness and self-acceptance, helping to reduce stress and enhance emotional regulation. By integrating mindfulness into our sessions, you can gain fresh perspectives and deeper insight into your experiences.
My academic background includes a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Guelph. These studies provided me with a solid foundation in mental health, with a strong focus on evidence-based approaches. During my training, I have worked with diverse populations and a variety of mental health concerns, which has strengthened my commitment to a holistic and individualized approach to therapy.
