Treatment Approach

Types of Therapy

A strong therapeutic relationship guides my work. Trust, respect, and collaboration shape each session. You need a secure space to speak openly about your thoughts and emotions. I provide an environment where you feel safe to express yourself without judgment. Open dialogue supports insight, growth, and emotional healing.

I use evidence informed approaches based on your needs and goals. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, CBT, is one core method in my practice. You learn to identify unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviors. We work together to replace them with healthier responses. You develop practical strategies to manage stress, improve mood, and strengthen your overall well being.

I also use Narrative Therapy in my practice. This approach examines the stories you form about your life and experiences. These stories influence how you see yourself and your abilities.

Narrative Therapy supports trauma processing through structured reflection. You organize past experiences into a clearer narrative. You separate your identity from painful events. This process strengthens your sense of control and personal responsibility.

Mindfulness based therapies form an important part of my work. You learn to focus on the present moment with awareness and acceptance. This practice reduces stress and strengthens emotional regulation.

In sessions, you apply mindfulness skills to your thoughts and reactions. You observe patterns without immediate judgment. This process increases clarity and supports deeper understanding of your experiences.

I earned a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University of Guelph. My education focused on evidence based mental health care and structured treatment methods. During clinical training, I worked with diverse populations facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship concerns. This experience strengthened my commitment to individualized and comprehensive therapy.

As a therapist, I help you address challenges with clarity and direction. You examine personal experiences, identify strengths, and define realistic goals. Together, we develop practical strategies that support daily functioning and long term growth.

I value measurable progress. You gain insight into patterns that affect your behavior and mood. You build healthier coping skills. You move toward goals with structured support. Observing this progress strengthens my dedication to collaborative care.

Our work centers on a strong therapeutic relationship. We set clear and attainable goals. You receive practical tools to apply outside sessions. Open communication guides the process. Your feedback ensures therapy stays aligned with your needs.

Thank you for learning about my approach. If you want to schedule a session or ask questions, reach out. We will take focused steps toward your goals in a supportive and structured setting.
